Add a Home Screen widget
- Set your hitch first (Hitch tab → preset or custom → Save).
- Long-press the Home Screen → Add Widget.
- Search HitchPin.
- Pick Small (ON / HOME) or Medium (countdown + 7-day strip).
- Tap Done.
App and widget share the hitch through App Group group.com.hitchpin.app.
Widgets refresh at local midnight (device civil day). After you Save,
timelines reload immediately.
Spouse QR
How do I send my hitch?
Open Share. Show the QR, copy the plaintext payload, or share a year PDF.
Payload looks like hitchpin:1|S=2026-06-01|on=14|off=14|label=days.
No server is involved.
How does my spouse import it?
On their phone, open HitchPin → Share → Scan QR (camera is only used for this), or paste the payload. Same start date and on/off. Unknown keys are ignored; missing start / on / off is rejected.
Does scanning upload anything?
No. Decode is on-device. See Privacy.
Presets
Hitch tab: 7/7, 14/14, 14/21, or custom 1–90 days on and off. Pick a start date. Days / Nights / None is color only — it does not change KeenCalc. Week starts Sunday or Monday (display only).
One hitch in v1. No payroll, buybacks, firefighter/Kelly, or calendar sync.
